Almost half of all pregnancies result in the formation of abdominal
stretch marks. These marks are the result of the dermis being
excessively stretched (by you know who) until the connective
fibers tear.
This tearing impairs the normal production of collagen
and the result is the scarring we refer to as stretch marks.
Stretch marks normally appear in the last months
of pregnancy as raised pink or reddish brown lines that gradually
flatten and fade to silvery streaks.
Not surprisingly, most women dread the prospect
of stretch marks. Unfortunately it is primarily a genetic matter
(the elasticity of your skin) that determines who will have them.
Which is not to say you are completely powerless.
Certainly there are effective steps you can take to prevent or
minimize both the degree of initial scarring and the visibility
of the marks after their formation.
That is why we developed Cellex-C Stretch Mark
Cream.

The
key to controlling the long-term impact of stretch marks is to
maintain optimal levels of both skin hydration and healthy collagen
formation.
Consequently, the ingredient formulation of our
Stretch Mark Cream contains a combination of ultra moisturizers,
plus, known collagen encouraging nutrients. Ingredients, as
always, are all completely natural and include: karite butter,
olive wax, meadowfoam seed oil, arctic cloudberry seed oil,
centella asiatica extract and zinc.
Stretch mark prevention starts early so we recommend
Stretch Mark Cream be applied regularly (twice a day) beginning
at least 3 months before giving birth.
During this time the objective is to reduce the
vulnerability of the over-stretched skin of the abdomen (although
breasts, buttocks and thighs may also need attention) by keeping
the skin as elastic as possible.
After the birth the objective switches to supporting
the recovery of the skin and to helping improve the appearance
of skin where stretch marking has occurred.
